E-Newsletter: Summer 2023, Volume 8, Issue 1 Now Available

It’s the time of the year for our Summer 2023 newsletter. This quarter’s newsletter, All Creatures Great and Small is now available. This edition of our health and safety newsletter highlights how to prepare for indoor and outdoor pest, child care rules on pets and service animals, safe storage of products such as bug spray and pesticides and much more. New resources, trainings, and technical assistance information has also been included to support early educators. We invite you to read it and share the newsletter.

 

E-Newsletter: Spring 2023, Volume 7, Issue 4 – (Now Available in Spanish)

Our Spring 2023 newsletter is now available in Spanish. Some of the safety topics included are:

  • Incidents in Child Care | Incidentes en ambientes de cuidado infantil

We encourage you to share the newsletter titled “Handle with Care: Safety First” | Trátelos con cuidado – Seguridad ante todo” with Spanish-speaking early educators in your network.

 

NC CCHC Association Regional Meeting – East

NC CCHC Association members are invited to regional meetings held quarterly by NC CCHCA Regional Representatives. For more information on the meetings or joining the association, please contact the association or the regional representative for your area on the NC CCHC Association website.

The eastern region meeting will be held on April 20, 2023 from 12-2 pm at the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children located at 111 Eastbrook Drive, Greenville, NC 27858.

CCHC Learning Collaborative: Asthma

Registration is now open for the CCHC Learning Collaborative on Asthma in Child Care!

Our guest speakers are members of the Asthma Alliance of North Carolina:

 

3 NCPD contact hours will be awarded to CCHC RN and Health Educators upon 100% attendance of live virtual session.

This educational activity is being jointly presented by the Public Health Nursing Institute for Continuing Excellence and the NC Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center, a project of UNC Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. The Public Health Nursing Institute for Continuing Excellence is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
