CCHC Learning Collaborative – Safe Handling

Registration is now open for the CCHC Learning Collaborative on Safe Handling!
We will be joined by guest speakers from the Wake Forest Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) and NC DHHS who will cover child injuries from unsafe handling (lifting, carrying, etc) and the prevention of these injuries. Our guest speaker from the Ergonomics Center at NC State University will cover adult injuries from the handling of children and how to reduce the risk of these workplace injuries.
3 NCPD contact hours will be awarded to CCHC RN and Health Educators upon 100% attendance of live virtual session. This educational activity is being jointly presented by the Public Health Nursing Institute for Continuing Excellence and the NC Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center, a project of UNC Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. The Public Health Nursing Institute for Continuing Excellence is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
