The North Carolina Health and Safety Resource Center offers a range of opportunities for training and education to promote safe and healthy early education settings.

Train-the-Trainer Courses

The NC Resource Center offers three train-the-trainer courses that prepare Child Care Health Consultants and other qualified individuals to offer the training content to early educators. These courses are:

  • Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) in Child Care
  • Administering Medication in Child Care
  • Infant Toddler Safe Sleep and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (ITS-SIDS) Risk Reduction in Child Care
  • CCDF Health and Safety Trainings

Trainings for Early Educators/Child Care Providers

Early educators are required to complete training in specific subject areas related to health and safety. These courses are:
